Marlins Super Heroes Night

On July 22, 2011, The Miami-Dade Schools Police Department (M-DSPD) participated in the Florida Marlins 3rd Annual Super Heroes Night at Sun Life Stadium. During the pregame activities, the M-DSPD had the department’s command bus on display to the public and Sergeant Thurman MacNeal took part in a multijurisdictional on-field honor guard presentation which included 40 participants representing law enforcement, fire rescue, and corrections from across South Florida.

During Super Heroes Night, the Florida Marlins offered game tickets at discounted prices to all of South Florida law enforcement, fire rescue, 911 dispatchers, department civilian staff and all first responders. The event included a specialty vehicle display from different departments, a pregame ceremony saluting law enforcement and fire rescue officers for their courage and work they do every day to keep our communities safe and activities for the entire family, throughout the night.
