P.O.A.T. Kickball Tournament

On Friday and Saturday, August 12-13, the Police Officer Assistance Trust (POAT) held their 1st Annual Kickball Tournament at St. Brendan’s Catholic Church to help raise money to benefit the families of fallen police officers. While every POAT event is a worthwhile cause, this event was extra special. The Miami-Dade Schools Police Department (M-DSPD) was able to form two teams out of the fourteen teams that participated.

A special thanks for the fundraising efforts of Chief Hurley who combined with the individual effort of the officers who volunteered their time and money for this worthy cause. A special thanks also to the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #133 for donating the bounce houses that were a huge success with the kids.
